Cos sometimes folks can't see the wood for the trees, they just think they can;)

Now run along before you become embroiled in a 20 page debate on rioting and poor depraved people who are disadvantaged and can't help looting:p

it must be awful for righteous liberals living in a Neo Conservative country like the US. Sure it's OK for now, but the good times can't last much longer; they'll be electing another Republican soon won't they?

Where did you get that little pearl of wisdom from then?

All I have to do is look at the MBttUK board... there was actually a thread on this subject a couple of years ago.

Not nutty at all. This is what 'deregulation' will ultimately lead to.

I've been hearing an awful lot of politicians talking about 'rights' lately but I'm confused as to exactly what 'rights' they are talking about.

A lot of the 'rights' that have been talked about are to my mind 'priviledges' and I hear nobody mentioning anything about the 'responsibilities' that go hand in hand with the 'rights'

She's 100% correct. There's no responsibility in what the Republicans are doing, nor even an attempt to propose cuts that are rational and will minimize harm. The only word I'd choose differently is "opportunity" rather than "excuse".

You're not an American and couldn't possible hope to understand life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I think she's absolutely spot-on. They do want to destroy.
