Here's one for the Mac - a free 14-day trial:

http://www.hidemyip.com/hidemyipmac.shtml

It doesn't automatically choose an IP address but you can keep clicking until you find one - I got one on third try.

What are the good programs to watch on ITV and BBC? (Aside from Corrie St., of course)

Not sure if there are any Christmas specials left on BBC, they only hold programmes for 7 days so if you see something you like you have to remember to watch it or it will be gone.

ITV player holds all their programmes for 30 day so you can have a Corriethon LOL!!

Windsong here is my favorite UK show - 2 property finders take people out looking for homes. You get to see inside tons of English houses and they're great fun as hosts. The site has every episode since the show started so it should keep you busy!

Also brilliant - Come Dine With Me

Rodney, great to hear from you even though you forgot me:frown: (Just kidding!) Congrats on not smoking! I quit 7 years ago and if I can do it anyone can. You're already over the worst.

Thank you, Sally :)

I love the American version of that property show so I will love the UK version even more. I also watched a special of Come Dine with Me and loved it so I am glad to see there are more airings of it.

Thanks again :)

Please could you tell me how to get Corrie on YouTube. We were happy with Expat Shield but have been unable to open it for some time. Took Bee's advice & re installed it several times but to no avail. We live in Perth, WA.

Yes, indeed. If you go to this link, which is the link to qg2010's channel, you will see that he/she uploads the episodes religiously within an hour after they appear on UK TV.

Re: OVER 50's & 60's MOVING BACK TO THE UK - Part II

For those of you who are over 50 and thinking of moving back a few thoughts after my whole day of cleaning before someone comes to view it
tomorrow.

1) As we get older keeping a house in tip top conditon becomes a chore
and has consequences. When we sold our house 10 years ago I was in
good shape and doing all the jobs on my own was a doddle. My
husband was away working. Now 10 years on every bone in my body
aches my knee that I injured a few years ago is really playing up. Lots
of pain. My fingers which I have developed arthitis in two of them are
hurting like hell and stiff. I feel weary and exhausted.

2) Delaying selling your house also brings with it problems. We already had
to replace the dryer a year ago and now the washing machine is on
the blink. The hoover is in really bad shape. Boilers need constant
upkeep and I had to paint and glue things together today. Over
Christmas someone spilt a drink on the carpet which I have to
clean up before I go to bed.

3) My dear husband is sick and not able to do alot although he tries.
Three years ago he was fine. So think carefully about waiting to sell
your home.

Thanks Cheers, I loved that post, there's an American who knows how it really feels, he's a lucky guy and he knows it.

Id suggest we all read that post, its just more of the real truth.

Re: OVER 50's & 60's MOVING BACK TO THE UK - Part II

ldyinlv..I always feel releived when the house is all done and ready for the showing I just wish I could keep it that way all the time but its impossible. you have to live in the place. Still I dont feel too bad now I can relax and in the morning I just have to hoover one room and the stairs and do some extra work in the kitchen. So I am happy to have done what I have. I always think things could be alot worse other people are much worse of that we are. I just wish I could fine St. Joseph that I buried. But its impossible.:frown:
