The Imperial War Museum Air Museum at Duxford is a must.

You're kidding?!

Can anyone else tell me how to get to Hampton Court by tube?

Is there a tube that goes there?

To Hampton Court?

Surely?

Maybe some sewer pipes to there.

Why the sarcasm? Is this your usual approach when you've made mistake?
In front of the whole world?

I think the snobbery aspect of giving lots of attention to rich
customers and snubbing those who the shop-keeper figures are riff-raff
is as old as the keeping of shops, rather than something that's typical
of 'these days'. (In fact, I think it's found much less today than it
was in the past.)

Well, I'm one of those Harrods Account holders (who get to use the loos
free) and I have never dressed up to go there. It's just a shop, after
all. They take my money as promptly as anyone else's.

It is not full of the super rich. They go to Harvey Nick's or the
little boutiques on Beauchamp Place.

It was still there last time I looked...probably half a dozen years ago. I
remembered being scared out of my six-year-old wits by the whale on my
first visit but have now achieved closure on that episode.

No I was being shirty (without much reason, true, so I apologise to
you for that), because you hadn't bothered to read the other 3 replies
before posting the exact same thing.

And this isn't the whole world, this is a bunch of bitter 40 something
blokes, as is the normal way on usenet.

Vanessa,

I know you think it's trivial. I agree with you, the distinction
between ex-BR and tube is silly. But this is a group for tourists, and
unless they are lucky enough to have a London Connections map
http://www.londontransport.co.uk/tfl...cs/lon_con.pdf
then they are not going to find it on their tube map.

I'd recommend booking a tour of the Darwin center, if you have time.

You apparently assume that one receives all replies simultaneously. I
suggeat you lear how usenet works, and how messages are propagated.

I'm actually a bitter 60 something bloke...

Precisely. Can you still easily find a London Connexions map (mine is
from 1996)? I didn't really look when I was in London last May.
