Try an American Amtrak train (outside of the high - speed Northeast
Corridor Washington - NYC - Boston routes and also the Talgo routes in
the Pacific Northwest), at times you'll be rocking enough to feel ill
if so inclined...especially if you are shunted off to a freight train
rail track.

"Put her in her place" is not synonym of beating, Greg. Not in Europe, at least.

You really need to check "socialism" and "comunism" in some book.

Come the revolution comrade, you too have a car.

And what's more, if you don't want one...

You'll do as you're bloody well told.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

I only see these kinds of posts in followups. What a load of crap.
Anyway, I'm choosing the train to go down to London in an hour...

I don't blame you.

I'm off to London in a month or so and I'm going on the train.

Only a fool drives in London.

It's just about the one place in the UK where the public transport system
works as it should.

It seems to work in Sheffield too.

Whenever I take it, it generally works fine in most big cities, but
London always seems crowded, crowded, crowded, and I doubt much can be
done about that!

The oyster system is very convenient too- just swiped my wallet above
the reader for an earlier tube trip- no worrying about buying a ticket
etc.

The train was slightly early, making the journey time 2 hours 7 minutes,
which isn't too bad.
