Of course, you are right, just as you can't compare statistics between
countries like Evleth and Krugman are trying to do, because they are
not comparable for any number of reasons. But that, of course, is not
his agenda. His agenda is to try endlessly to slander and libel his
own country--all while violating its laws and taking its money to live
off of in France. Completely contemptible isn't he?

Never mind that it was YOU and Krugman making the blanket claim which
you can't support moron. And if you are so dumb that you can't even
understand that being on a waiting list for heart surgery is just
about as serious as it gets, then go talk to the doctors in the UK
talking about so many patients dying on the list. Gee. Let's see.
Is it medically important if they die on the list? Oh, that's right,
according to you, you can substitute a breast implant for a heart
transplant. Moron.

No, of course not. Every one knows that preventive healthcare is not
important, which is why all the HMOs in the US promote and pay for it.
They're doing that for fun and to lower their profits. And only
uniformed morons like you wonder about the US system, which has the
technoligically advanced medical system in the world, 90% of the drug
R and D, and all the rest. I don't see anyone hear running off to
France to have their heart transplant moron.
>The critical question to you then is whether delays are a big issue?
Which anyone with a brain listening to UK surgeons talking about
patients dying on the list would know with no problem. Of course,
they know that you can't replace a heart transplant with a breast
implant which is beyond you. Funny how you like to make these
distinctions while you like to lump all your phony irrelevant
statistics together if it allows you to libel someone isn't it?

Suppose you were right about that, then why would you care?
You have just taken the time to post about five or six contributions in
which you complain about fellow newgroup denizens.
Suppose you visited a bar on a regular basis and all you meet are
horrible people...would you fight them, or simply find another bar,
frequented by people of your liking?

Also correct. And, of course, Evleth doesn't want to address the
issue in these systems, which Krugman also doesn't raise, about them
allocating the same care to younger patients that older ones also need
because they will benefit from it longer. Nevermind that the older
patient through his or her life has almost always paid more for it
over his or her liftime than the younger one. Example being a hip
replacement which exactly fits your description above. Not life
threatening but makes your life miserable if you don't get it.
Another benefit of these government run systems.

Europe doesn't have tons of illegal immigrants????? You don't know anything
about France, do you?
Another question? Why are conservatives like yourself always so rude and
nasty? Why do you call names like "nutcase" and "moron"? You conservatives
ought to be happy. You are in absolute control of the most powerful country
in the world. Yet to hear the way you talk to those whom you don't agree
with (currently powerless) one would think that you are suffering from a
permanent, acute stomachache. I can't think of anything else that would
make you so disagreeable when you ought to be blissful.

Because I don't like liars like him spewing their filth all over the
internet. Especially when they purport to be citizens. I would
expect any responsible person from whatever country to reasonably
defend his or hers. Why shouldn't their lies be shown for what they

This is hardly the same thing. A bunch or people sitting around in a
bar, whatever they are saying, is not an open group with worldwide
circulation. And I don't care about people agreeing with me or not.
That is up for them to decide on their own. My aim is to counteract
these people and let who read what is posted judge for themselves. It
is not to convince these clowns that I am right and they are wrong.
They are fair too brainwashed for that and I am not into Sysphean
tasks. I don't know how long you have been looking at this group, but
several of these people are beyond contempt. Both Magda and Evelyn at
various times, for example, have outright wished physical harm to
Bush. Does that meet your test of acceptable discourse? Not mine.
And I would do the same blasting of the nutbars on the right, but they
rarely show up here.

The above is outright slander.
For those who might not know what 4F means, it means that the person in
question was not drafted into the army because of a physical disability. It
does not mean draft avoidance, and it certainly does not make one a felon.
I am in the process of plonking you, but I could not let this one go by.
You, sir, are the best example of an anti-American that I have ever seen.
Americans are a warm, generous, friendly people, with kind hearts. None of
this even remotely describes you. You are hateful and nasty. All the
things that real Americans are not.

question was not drafted into the army because of a physical disability. It
does not mean draft avoidance, and it certainly does not make one a felon.

Not for too long, I must confess. I've been lurking a bit, and posting
just a couple of short messages.
When I put this group into my Gravity list of newsgroups, I expected to
see contributions about travelling in Europe. It's one of my website's
topics, so I thought I would read more about it here. I hoped to get
inspired, informed and educated by people who have seen much more than I
have.
Instead, I found hundreds of contributions about:

Not mine, either. Regardless of whether I like Mr. Bush's policy or not.
But if everyone would try and stay more-or-less on-topic in this
newsgroup, wouldn't such discourse disappears all by itself?

Blasting of nutbars has nothing to do with talking about travelling in
Europe, I believe.
Would you like to engage in an experiment? Let's just see what happens if
you refrained from calling anybody a 'moron' for a week. The tone of the
conversation in this group might drastically change in a direction you
claim to desire!
