We used to get Avon SSS cream for 1€ till people found out about it.

SSS is great. You know how there are some flowers that look so wonderful but have no sent..... I open a little channel in the multch around then poor in a little SSS (very little) and put the multch back over them and BINGO scented flowers.

While you wait for the SSS….
Buy some Portuguese white whine vinegar and wash the bites down with it. It will take the itch away and start the healing progress.
In the US we have this spray called OFF. It works amazingly well and keeps them away from you.
Melgas in the US are called Nats I think....

Well hello one and all.
I am all packed and ready to go - complete with mozzie spray. Have to say I am one of the fortunate ones, I don't get bitten
but then there's always a first time.
Fly out at the ungodly hour of 6.00am in the morning
but it'll be worth it.
Should have been away for the next six weeks but my sister decided to get married slap bang in the middle of my hols
how inconsiderate is that! So have to fly back for a couple of days, do the wedding bit and fly back again. And she wanted me to wear a posh frock 
Sod that, it's costing me enough as it is.
