But, knowing more about it obviously, would you think it is better or worse to work for Frontex itself than as a national seconded officer?

Maybe it also takes into account the management of cat2 and cat3 officers.
Indeed 175 is a very high rate. But 7 for a team of 375 field officers seems a quite low rate. Meaning you have at least 50 officers in your team, which is, in my opinion, not really middle sized but quite large, when you consider the operations that have to be taken care of. It's not an accountancy office, after all.
Not even to mention the fact that sometimes people will be on leave, get sick etc. Having only 7 in advanced level seems quite a small group.

Might be true though, if indeed they have the intermediate level for the supervision of the smaller teams.

Very hard to say. Mostly because a lot is still unknown about the standing corps. All I can say is, I was very satisfied with the conditions when deployed through Frontex as a national officer. If conditions will be as good as that, I wouldn't think twice about signing the contract. But my fear is, that was the case because the conditions were mostly set by countries that send their officers to Frontex missions. I fear that standards will drop without countries "pressuring" Frontex to keep up the standards.

In my opinion, frontex actually raised the expectations of the policemen who were deployed in their missions. Otherwise, they would not apply for a permanent job with fx. A few years ago, a certain country did not pay it's policemen with the whole amount of money which fx provided, but nearly half. For instance, for Greece the dsa is 82 euros, and those guys received only 40 per day. I won't give names (Poland).

Which makes sense. After all, physical tests are an eliminatory stage while interview may be subject to assessment. That way they are able to shortlist a reasonable number of candidates to undergo physical tests according their strict needs and not more than the necessary, sparing travelling costs for everyone.

I do not think that this is a problem, as it is the Agency that takes care of them and not us, and they have a sufficient budget to cover these expenses.
What I do see as effective is the fact that those who do not make it through the interview no longer have to travel to Warsaw for the physical tests, thus reducing the CO2 footprint that would be generated by those trips.

I don’t think that postponing physical tests would help spare time and resources. Everyone who passed the language test has, sooner or later, to go to Warsaw. No matter for tests or interview. I don’t know if there are unofficial stats about tests but according to my feeling it seems that there it is easier to be discharged while doing physical tests than during interview. In fact, in my experience, physical tests are always made in the preliminary phases of any recruitment process.

Sure, I agree with you. However, FX did not decide to postpone physical tests for no reason. They had to adapt to the imposed travel restrictions and find a way to continue the procedure. In fact, the decision implies a saving time "principle" rather than saving money.

I won't be saying how I got the info but i have it on good word that all 3 intakes will hopefully start training end of summer now. They have already successfully picked the first wave to enter..

that's what the 300 they mentioned was about.

Let me try to understand, you are saying that the 300 chosen are all the one that made all 3 stages? English test, fisical test and the interview?
Or is a short list selecting 300 from all that made the 3 stages?
