our visa has been 'approved in principle' they want our passports and levy then will issue visas!

Yep.There's been a lot of waiting around, I understand that NZIS have to deal with work visas first but it does prolong the process.
It's all good here - hubby needs to get on and find a job now! Hand in his 3 months notice and we'll be in NZ in October! yipee.
