So for 90 bucks per month you get unlimited downloads but half the speed @ 10 megs (plus whatever the phone line costs) I've yet to meet someone that uses more than 60 gigs in a month which equates to 70 bucks, with IInet including voip plus 34 bucks for the phone line and extra phone here. I'd say that was in the same ball park, except IInet are faster.


The only reason I'm carrying on like this, is everytime someone says something is cheaper in the UK on electrics I find it cheaper here...

true but 85% coverage as NTL bought out just about ever cable supplier in the UK and as for availability BB isn't available to every one here with a phone line if you are 3klicks from the exchange it's no dice. NTL also supply BT customers but only with an equivalent to ADSL2

line was 4.99, various bundles dependent on TV options phone options internet options I was bundled with x number of channels phone options and internet at 4meg =$120 approx mth. my BB +aust star $140mth and no where near the number of channels

Thanks for that, cheapest I've got so far is a Creative zen 30 gig for 159 quid, for my Aussie born and now UK resident Dual passport 21 yo Daughter. She has her heart set on an Ipod even though I've tried to convince her there are superior products.

BTW I beleive we should be able to start getting SKY plus down the net via a sling box, as long as the 256k up is a good enough carrying signal very soon.

I know night shift , I've checked a few sites and have found like you the zen unit. according to a mate of mine (over there ) Ipods aren't the thing this year just lovely .the other point is that if you use a Aust credit card to buy in UK you will be charged fees for foreign currency !
