Re: Our Home is on the Market
Hi Ruby, nice to hear from you...how are you?....I just knew you to be a City fan..how?....well your well educated....witty......and from the "better" side of Manchester......!!!! yes a bit of a hit and miss season really....nothing like being a City fan for a rollercoaster ride!!!!!!!!
Hiya J,
Oh yes, our whole house is true blue! Couldn't ever be a Red, the colour looks bloody awful on me As all us City fans know, every season is like living on a rollercoaster.....but their performance this season went like the big dip on the Big One at Blackpool!!

Re: Our Home is on the Market
Our home was on the market last year for nearly 12 months and did not sell. The housing market in the US is really slowing down. We had hoped to be back in the UK by now but are waiting to see how the market does at the moment people want homes for as little as possible. We live in New England. I have been here for nearly 30 years so I suppose I can wait another year. Unfortunately as we thought this process would be much quicker we had our dogs tagged and ready to go but now 2 of them are gone and the other one is sick. Nothing goes as planned. By the way I have three grown children and two grandchildren but I still want to go home.

Re: Our Home is on the Market
Sorry to hear abut your home sale the housing market here in West Australia has "gone" VERY quiet, we have been living in W.A for over 10 years and athough we have had some nice times it is time for us to go "home"...we do not have any family here in Aus, there will be a couple of things we will miss about living in Aus but home is where our heart is!!!! America and especially the East Coast is no great distance from the u.K so you can always travel back and forth to see family etc......where are you looking to "settle" in the U.K?.....it's funny really as New England is one of the areas we would like to visit in America some southern States as well....we like "old"...rather than the "new" (we are in the wrong country for that I suppose here in Aus!!!) living in the U.K/Europe your never that far....oh except Aus!!!! good luck with your home and hope it sells asap....and I hope your pet feels better soon....life has a way of working out!!!!

New England is very nice the further North you go the more isolated it gets. One of my sons lives outside of Boston a very busy area. We live in New Hampshire which is 85% forest. We have long winters and short hot summers. The area is very pretty we live in a small rambling village. I find the people rather stand offish. Perhaps part of the problem is the houses are quite a distance apart. I have been here for 30 years (in the US) and still miss the friendships from home. Perhaps if I had come when I was younger it would have been easier but I was 35.
Zoey my dog is 12 and has really changed in the past couple of months since our other dog died. She has lost her hearing and constantly needs to be close to someone. I doubt she will be with us for much longer.
We have just updated the kitchen and re-painted the bathroom and put down new carpet in the bedroom. We are also having a new window put in on the lower level to add more light to that bedroom. Then we will have estate agents come and take a look and give us an idea of what they can sell it for. It will be interesting to see what they value it at as the town revalued all the properties last year just before the market slump. Off course thats the price we pay our taxes on. They doubled the price of the house it will be nice to see how much we can sell if for.

Re: Our Home is on the Market
I take it you've heard who they've penciled in as our next manager.......Mark Hughes! Good or a bad thing? My OH was livid at first but then as he read a lot of positive comments from other City fans, they are right in that Mark Hughes has learnt a heck of a lot from one fantastic football manager the UK has ever seen - Sir Alex! Roll on the next season!!
Trouble is Ruby you have a nutty chairman. Hughes is a good manager but unless he wins the treble he will probably go the same way as Sven.

Re: Our Home is on the Market
Having a break from the madness for afew months. Putting it back up later with another agent ( Harcourts)..so see how things move then. We are still going home this year, before Xmas anyway. I'm not stressing about it now, over all that, things will happen when they happen. Our health and happiness is more important than this hole.
Good decision Nu-Shooz, I knew an agent over there called Steve Harbour (not sure if the spellings correct)he is very professional. He started his own business and I think it was called Harcourt's.
