Bloody hell I was shocked when I read this. Cheeky sod coming back he must be doing over the neighbourhood. We were burgled why we were at home too
(downstairs) but never saw him. I know I felt scared, but this really takes the biscuit. I hope you get some of your stuff back and sorry this is the second time with in days you have had this.

Flea, so sorry to hear that you are going through this awful thing. Hope that you have at least had your locks changed on your house. I can totally understand that you won't be able to sleep for a while; what an utter shock for you and your husband:curse:

I am sure there will be some who think I am making this up. I truly wish i was!!
I think i wrote on here a couple of days ago about my neighbour who woke up on her sofa with a man standing over her and he ran out f her flat with her laptop.
Well... guess what
The $@#$%#$#%ing bastard has come back and done it us!!! We were both in our bedroom but had not gone to bed. The TV, lights and my laptop were all switched on. My husband heard a noise came out of the bedroom and this guy was standing in our lounge. My husband yelled and chased him through the flat but he ran onto our balcony and jump off (we are on first floor) OH ran out to chase him but he was gone.
He has taken my laptop, my handbag, phone, purse, $200, 2 credit cards, my british and aussie drivers licence. My company car keys. I am too scared to go to bed in case they come back for it. He also has my door keys.
I cant believe it am stunned

No I do not live in a rough area. Give it a rest will you?

Hi Nicola
He climbed up the side of the building onto our balcony. The balcony door was shut ut not locked as we were still up and hadnt gone to bed yet. You dont think you need to keep your balcony door locked when you are up and at home!!

I have managed to get about 4hrs sleep this morning. I feel even worse today. Every little noise i hear I think he is coming back. I am not the nervous type usually, but this has really affected me badly.
If it were done when we were out i dont htink it would have affected so hard. It is the sheer nerve of the bloke to walk in here while we are up! It also causes me ot think he might be on drugs or something and if he keeps on could get dangerous if challenged.
OH said when he yelled at him he didnt even turn round to look at him. The lady upstairs who caught him in her place said he just looked at her very calmly turned around and walked out. Showed no sign of stress whatsoever.

oh, Flea, I'm lost for words (for once in my life).
I can't even begin to imagine what that whole experience must've been like and I really can't blame you for still feeling uneasy. I really hope you can get through this.
I'll say this .... you've had some wild ups and downs in the past few days.
Sending love and best wishes your way.

Seriously, sleep with some sort of protection with you. I would personally choose my husband's sword and jump out at the b*stard burglar wielding that and yelling "YAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!" while running after him naked and with bed hair. He certainly wouldn't come back anytime soon.
Hi Sue
Yes it has been a bit of a wild week. I am feeling a bit like a stunned mullet to be honest

I'm sorry to read this Flea, you are the second person I know who's been broken into (the others were done over again just after they'd had all their stuff replaced, and then had it all nicked again). All I can say is that you have obviously outstayed your welcome and will just have to go home

I hope you feel better soon. Can you buy Calms here? They worked wonders for me at my Mums funeral, or was it the very large vodka and orange I was given before I left the house?
Loads of hugs...how many days till your escape? Sorry, I mean till you leave
Jo

Just saw this.
I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you must be feeling. Over the years we've been broken into 5 times, 3 times while we were at home. It's a hard thing to come to terms with. I was terrified in my own house for ages. Then I got angry at the thought of someone thinking that they could come into my home and steal the stuff that we'd worked our @sses off to buy.
I really feel for you. It's a pain in the @rse cancelling cards, changing locks, etc.
I can understand why your daughter is angry with OH. My OH would have run after them too, and I was always glad that we slept through because you never know what these people will do if you get hold of them.
Re Kizbut1's post, the jeweller who replaced my jewellery last time told us to watch out for a repeat burglary. A friend of his had been burgled three times in a row, (in UK), apparently the police think that some of the burglars are smart enough to know that you will have replaced stuff and come back for the new stuff.
