I have asked he does a letter anyway but i cant see either how i could be stopped as we are not PR's or citizens & have only been here a short while

Anyway whatever the if's & buts, I do trust my husband to let us go

I dont think he can stop you-period. As a non-PR Australia cannot force you or your daughter to stay and cannot stop you leaving on a UK Passport-period.
I wouldnt even bother with the letter.

Her husband has PR, even though Jude doesn't.

I have the court order stapled into my passport, yet I still get hassled by airline staff who a) have no legal jurisdiction to do so and b) jobsworth pillocks who think I have nothing better to do than to book return tickets for my children and waste them.

Sorry, I disagree, I think thats a brilliant service offered by the Canadians...I have joint custody of my kids and love the idea that my wife has to work with me and vice versa when travelling outside of Canada...sorry but totally disagree with you dingbat...they are looking after the childs interest, your interest and their own.

about 12 years ago, my buddies wife fled to back to Italy with their two kids, never to be seen again, so reading some of these posts reminds me of that...if the wives are unhappy then buy a ticket and go back to Nedville, leave your kids out of it, who on earth would want to bring kids up in most of the citys in England is beyond me, but thats another story.

For any women on the brink of running back to the UK; do the right thing and work out for your kids what is right, sit down and discuss with your partners so everyone understands the lay of the land and be prepared to leave your kids behind if they are happy where they are...

I have a lot of PROFFESIONAL experience in this very matter-take the kid and just go.

I simply can't surf by after reading this cowboy piece of advice and comment on how crappy your advice is.

I have SOLE custody for a damn good reason. Do read the post properly. The only thing you love is the control over your ex, the kids best interests are secondary.

Well kind of, but Not really because a funny thing happened to me a few years after my divorce and I love sharing this with people. My ex forgot to cancel one of my bi weekly visitations to pick up my kids, so I turned up, disappointed as you can imagine...so thought I'd go to Square One shopping mall and do some shopping, a great mall in Mississauga.

Anyhow, spent the afternoon there, bought myself a scratch and win lottery ticket, sat in my car outside and kaboooooommmm $100,000 dollars thank you....after much shouting and screaming I came to my senses and put a nice healthy down payment on a new build house in Mississauga off of Winston Churchill...several years later, my mother had some problems back in the UK..So I took $60,000 out of the equity to come back for a short while, got a great IT contract...Bought a house in the UK and then another for my daughter on a buy to let...then got cocky and did it twice more (houses that is dingbat) anyhow having now sold the three of them, I'm sitting mortgage free on my last house in the UK, waiting for it to be sold, listed on rightmove for £220,000 pounds....so in all, I started by saying well kind of, but not really so hope this makes sense, but doesnt change my original statement that the Canadian laws governing children are fair in the case of leaving the country.

Rgds
