To be honest i think it is the worst piece of advice given to Megansmummy but think she would be more sensible than to follow it. Removing children in the dead of night should, IMO, only be used in extreme cases. Megan is under no harm from her dad it is only because her mum wants to go back. If there is a real threat to Megan having to be returned to OZ megansmummy should investigate that before she leaves the country.

THis really shirts me. I got banned for multliple user names(unfairly I might add)-but couldnt resist replying to this.
You are in vancouver-I am in Australia, I day doesnt go by when I don't extensively interact and chat one-on-one with Judges of the Family Court of Australia and am well aware of the massive bias against dads that stop kids leaving the country with their mums....but you know better. If the mods son't ban me immediately megansmum could literally PM me and I could have her chatting with a Judge in minutes-not that I expect her to want to do that-but I am not BS'ing.
I am also a Lawyer-but not practicing.
I didnt say leave in the night-just don't make a big legal deal-the kid isnt Aussie-once she is out Australia has no jurisdiction at all over her-irrespective of fathers PR-ask a lawyer.

...and I am not suggesting Megansmum listen to anyone here-she should do what she feels is right-but it isnt fair to scare her and possibly have her make a mistake with nonsense ignorant "legal" opinions.

Thank you for thinking of me & trying to help but i feel positive enough to know that i will be able to take my daughter without any interference from my husband. I trust him not try & take her so dont feel any legal action or letters are required at this stage

This thread is full of bitter twisted, hostile people offering you poor advice, absolutely, I'm sorry for your plight and your hurt comes across in your post, and I'm sorry for that, but whatever you choose to do, at the very least be able to hold your hand on your heart and return to the UK with a clear conscience.

It will help clear your head and maybe after a little time outside of the situation and outside of this website period, you maybe able to think things through with having to worry about anything else.

Firstly, I am a lawyer, or at least have a law degree-if megansmum wants to PM me I could elaborate my credentials in this field. No one really wants to get on a forum and say what they do and who they are.
It's not about making a dash for it....its about not having to do things that arent required in the first place.

This info does sound correct...my OH was a practising Oz solicitor...
Anyway, advice is given to be helpful, it is up to the person it is for to use or ignore it! ;)

Hey guys, calm down - I'm sure most of us offer our advice with good intention (except the odd 'dingbat' that come on here to make trouble - and we all know who they are!!) - 'seasprite' and 'chance to be' you are both 'good eggs' who I know only offer good supportive advice on this forum -don't let the 'dingbats' get you riled!!

:Sorry, that wasnt meant at you. (if you thought it was - the complete opposite!) What I meant was people are trying to give advice and FWIW, I reckon your advice/opinion is right. Its "them there others" that keep chipping in to say this advice is wrong etc. When really at the end of the day, the scenario isnt "real" for MM - so I just hoped that would stop, then she can just be wished the best and thats that.
