Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
The time has come to finally fly out and join on site! At last, seemed like the paperwork would never end.
Would love to get any input on the packing list. Whats good to bring that you guys realized after settling down "oh that would have been good". And in terms of facilities in the room, is there things such as ironing board, tea kettle, etc etc? Coffee machine I'll probably bring with me, for the odd cup of coffee on the weekend and if the canteen is closed.
Thanks and hope to connect with you lot already on the ground in the coming weeks! (Eid holiday coming up, and probably won't be able to leave as Iqama won't be ready, so anyone stranded like me in NEOM during the holidays, reach out!)

Could you tell me in more detail your experience with the onboarding team and the time it takes to get your background verificated and employment contract attested? Thank younin advance.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
In my case, after 2 months of being accepted in the onboarding process, I'm still waiting for the employment contract attested by mofa and the background verificated by the onboarding team in orden I can start the degree attestation process in my country. According to the information provided in the kissflow app both documents/activities are "in progress" and tomorrow I will be attending a meeting with my onboarding contact... And I don't know what to expect...

No, I haven't resigned yet. I have to wait till these activities are completed and then the onboarding team will ask me to do it. I feel so upset about the time I'm waiting for... It seems like when I take a step further then I take two backwards and never get to the finish line.

Also, to answer your previous question re: Neom paying for Visa, I think the Embassy doesn't charge you, they charge the employer directly - this is probably why the brochure said that you don't pay for it.

Great to have all this information! I started uploading documents last week, and now I know what to expect from them in terms of the waiting...
Great forum and great people here! I hope to meet you all soon

It’s good that you have a meeting with onboarding tomorrow. Bring this up with your onboarding specialist tomorrow and ask him/her to clarify where it is stuck (they have visibility in this), so that you can work out the solution.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
I mean a work visa (thought the two were one and the same!)
Did you reply previously re responsibility on who pays for the visa - think I only received a reply from Paul on this point on 23 April.
Good to know it is separately charged to NEOM which is what I had understood to be the case in the first place.

I am in the same shoes as you right now. Was just looking into this on the Embassy's website, where it gives prices for different visas, but for the work visa it says that it is somehow directly charged to the employer (it might be an automatic process), so don't worry too much... I think you will just get one bill from the 3rd party company.....
