Hi Guys,
I'm new here and so thankful that I found you!
I filed my application with USCIS in Cali and received a receipt dated July 12th. My husband called me today to say he'd received an approved letter! Woo hoo!!!
I guess it now goes to NVC, anyone know how long it takes from there?

We aren't over the 5 months yet, but in my boredom I was looking at the USCIS website and found that they do have an Ombudsman's office. The web page says they may be able to help if "Your application or petition is pending beyond USCIS processing times." I am sure they deal with a lot of different issues and not sure how long it takes to hear from them, but thought you might want to give this a look.
