Hmm, this is definitely a head or heart moment.

Novocastrian Slovenia 1 England 3
Novocastrian USA 1 Algeria 1
Novocastrian Ghana 1 Germany 2
Novocastrian Australia 1 Serbia 2

Hearts it is then.

Re: World Cup

If anyone was wondering about England's chances of progressing tomorrow, I think I've got my head around it:
  • If they win, they'll progress.
  • If they lose, they're out.
  • If they draw, they're out, unless... and this is the complicated bit.. unless USA also draw and England score 3 or more (than the USA). If England manage to score 2 more than the US then a lot will be drawn to decide between England and USA.
This might be explained better somewhere else on the internet

No I think you've aced it.

Edit: Now figure out the permutations for England to avoid Germany in the round of 16 (and therefore losing on penalties).

I can't see them drawing 3-3. They've got to win.
