Vaughan Mills - pronounced Von Mills

I called a neighbour when I first moved here asking where a good big mall is and he said "Von Mills" so I looked at the map for 1/2 an hour trying to find it so I called him back to confirm. He said "You Know... Von .... V..a..u..g..h..a..n" Doh!

They just don't have this is in their culture, do they? I think it because they do not have the pub culture we have in the UK.

I went out with my neighbour and our 2 wives and I bought rounds all night and he never put his hand in his pocket once!

I think generally they're just cheap bastards because even though Americans don't have pub culture as well, they usually stand their round.

But Scotland has been a part of England for the last 800 years or so whereas Canada (albeit nominally) is an independent country.
