February Chilliwack saw 107cm of snow.

We spent the night in Chilliwack last night but didn't get any snow, now in Vancouver and they got snow last night and it was kind of snowing/raining when we arrived, but not sticking.

Last week we had the heating off for a few days.

Last couple of days back to -28 with the wind chill.

My sister in Surrey sent me this yesterday afternoon and said it was still coming down, must have stopped shortly after.

Wednesday is shaping up to be a bit of a Bast**d, 30 cms snow forecast. Pretty in December, less amusing in mid March! Still the clocks change tonight, so we know it's going to be Spring soon! The word chilly doesn't apply today, it's bloody freezing...yeah a duvet morning:thumbup:

Yes, I meant to post about this yesterday.

A few days ago, the weather network had 10-15 for Tuesday and 5-10 for Wednesday but it was unclear whether () this was two storms or 15-25 beginning Tues, continuing into Weds.

Then it fell back to nothing Tuesday but still 5-10 Weds.
Yesterday it was back but with a potential 35.

And today is the third or fourth day with a wind chill close to -30.

Rats. I was hoping TWN would have changed again. Still 25-35 for Tues/Weds. Still time for it to change :fingerscrossed:

It's bloody cold here, had loads of snow yesterday, it's threatening more today. Had enough now.

Sunday 11 March will be the last day of prolonged cold and freezing conditions. Spring starts Monday! In Calgary anyway....

Looks like the next week will see temps in the 8 to 11 degree range, but rain, rain, and more rain.

Wallington Hall, near Cambo and not far from Morpeth in Northumberland. I only had my cellphone with me otherwise the quality would have been better.

We've had quite the weekend in st John's. Basically a hurricane, 'cept of course it not being hurricane season it wasn't called one. 10cm of snow and heavy drifting ... freezing rain the rain and temps up to +6c. Then 15 mins of still and sunlight before winds like I've never known in the 12 years I've lived here. And temps going down to -6c in a matter of hours. Max gust at St John’s airport 157km/h (that's damn near 100mph in old money) with sustained winds over 90km/h for a good 8 hrs. Lots of property damage - siding, shingles etc. I was thankful that we have wooden clapboard - it might be a PITA to paint every few years but it is more difficult to blow away! Lost a fence panel, a couple of trees and a strip of soffit. Could have been a lot worse though.

We lost power for 8 hrs or so, getting off lightly compared to others. Still over 10k customers without power as I type this. Tomorrow's morning traffic is going to be interesting as St John's has 134 intersections with damaged or destroyed traffic lights - and only 50 or so spares!
