Finally getting snow... Up to 15cm they say. Warms up tomorrow, so the rain will be returning.

Downside doctor called in sick due to the snow, so appointment was cancelled.

"Sick" because they wanted to sledging with the kids no doubt. Doctors.... unbelievable :sneaky:

Just had about a couple of inches of snow here on mid Vancouver Island but I think it's supposed to change to a rain/snow mix later in the day, making for very slippery conditions. Glad we kept our snow scoops and ice chopper when we moved from Alberta but I have to admire the ingenuity of one neighbor who was using his leaf blower to clear his path.

At least the beautiful architecture lends a mournful and poetic atmosphere.

Yes, I agree- I spent a good few minutes looking for a suitable aesthetically pleasing view and I was very pleased with this one

Well, its naffing snowing now. So the question is, do I risk a mental cab driver trying to navigate this stuff after another couple of hours of freezing precipitation, or do I slosh through this crap and encamp in the local pub?

Charlee loves it. She can only be out a couple mins but she leaps and plays in it.

Maple Ridge received somewhat rare snow this week. Standard Vancouverite traffic chaos ensued. Multiple crashes and two rollovers just in our subdvision. Although all roads in are more than a little steep, it has to be said!

Picture below taken at about yawn-o'clock this morning off the back deck!
