There is this beer produced out in BC call Lighthouse Stout... you have to give this beer a try. I LOVE it!... I cook extensively with it and, of course, pound it back as I would any beer. If you like a dark, rich stout with an aftertaste akin to burnt almond/chocolate, u should really give this beer a try.

Just told my Canadian wife about this thread. She wants some Kraft Dinner..?
Macaroni cheese type stuff I'm told. In return, she'll ship anything you want from the UK (indian takeaways and donor-kebabs notwithstanding.)

OMG... she's missing KD?!? ROFL... the ironic thing is... that is cheap, cheap, cheap food. you just wanted a few boxes sent to you?... I don't even know if that is possible - sending food products abroad. check into it and get back to me, and if I'm allowed to...sure, I'll fire off a few boxes to your wife. lol. too funny.

For me, Kraft Dinner would work equally well in place of marmite in my avatar.

KD can be got in the UK from these people.

My kids (born in Canada) are addicted to it. I blame their mother (also canadain)

Marmite is widespread in Canada, so really no need to add to global warming shipping this stuff back and forth.

I was about to lament the appearance of yet another Steve, but this one seems to have his head screwed on straight.

So welcome to the club, Stevie.

Crap dinner (aka yellow death) is a box of maccaroni noodles and a pack of powdered cheese. Boil the noodles. Drain. Put some milk in. Butter too if you want. Dump the yellow cheese powder on. Stir. Eat. Puke.

My kids love it. Don't know why. It probably goes well with marmite.
