Based on comments that have been made to me often in the past by girlfriends, I think all girls should be trained to eat and enjoy oysters from a very early age.

Now why does that not surprise me...

You could train them to 'eat', sure, but 'enjoy'??

It was a staple in the yorkshire chippies I used to frequent, along with the mushie peas.

they obviously phased them out by the time i was old enough to go and get some.

I never actually saw anyone buy one... it could well be the same ones are still there, lurking, 20 years later?
