You have to expect brake downs, door handles that fall off, windsceen wipers that don't work, indicators that work if they feel like it and steering wheel centres falling in your lap and forget about heating - unless it's a hot day then the eat from the engine will roast your feet and leave you looking flush - remember the window winder will have fallen off so the only chance of fresh air is putting the top down but the sun is scorching hot?????

My current spitty has all those problems (apart from the brake down so far) it's part of being a classic car owner, searching out parts that don't cost more than the car did etc. We are looking for a boot lid - mine was damaged when we bought the car, OH has done a temporary repair on it whilst we look for a decent second hand one - we so far have found really rusty ones and one decent one - the decent one? $4k I'll have the repaired one thank you - it works.

BTW I didn't take offense, I was just pointing out how rude that post read.
Funny to hear someone say 'boot' now, takes me back!

Dont worry, if you met me in person you would know I am not rude just tactless and I do have a tendency to speak/type before I think

AH a brit car still needs brit words, you know trunks remind me of elephants and the word just doesn't seem right on my car....however on OH's monster American classic cars the word fits completely - you could fit an elephant in one

Solved the supper crisis, last week we took a takeout to theirs, she dished up dessert but I took mine to go(said I was too full), it was rice pudding which I love but 1. she served it cold and 2. she put flipping cinnamon and ginger in it.....who does that...crazy Canucks!

Actually, I've noticed that I've been using a lot more garlic since I moved to Canada. Anyone else found this to be the case for them?

Let's all sing together
Play up, Sky Blues
While we sing together
We will never lose
Tottenham or Chelsea
United or anyone
They shan't defeat us
We'll fight 'til the game is won!
City! City! City!
