Trumps First week

The same sources that were credible before, BBC, Guardian, Telegraph, AP, AFP, Reuters, NY Times, Washington Post etc. are credible now. What's missing is a credible pro-POTUS source but that's hardly the fault of the journalists.

When Trudeau goes to shake his hand he should have on a rubber glove. He can lie and say he's sick or something. The funniest thing I heard was on here; the bit about if the queen has to shake his hand she'll have on so many gloves she'll look like Minnie Mouse.
It will be awkward if Melania and Sophie have to spend much time together, I see maybe 1 supper and she disappears.
Edit: I can't see a reference to her in the CBC article, just cabinet ministers, so maybe she's staying home;

Lie upon lie upon lie upon lie upon lie upon lie.....

The classic language of those caught out but trying to cover their own backs.
This one is the best, though.
He just didn't know former Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych, was backed by Moscow, and pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarchs. After all, he only worked for him as an advisor.

This all reminds me of Thatcher and The Belgrano with each lie being replaced by another lie as each is found out.
Not that enough people will be at all bothered by it.

in the intercepted phone communications...with Russian intelligence... "seen no evidence" but the officials do not explain what, in that case, the contacts were about.
(findings) flatly contradict White House spokesman, Sean Spicer, who on Tuesday repeated his earlier assertions that there had been no pre-election contacts between the Trump team and Russian officials. Last month, Trump himself also denied any such contacts.
“I have never knowingly spoken to Russian intelligence officers, and I have never been involved with anything to do with the Russian government or the Putin administration or any other issues under investigation today.â€
“It’s not like these people wear badges that say, ‘I’m a Russian intelligence officer,’†he added.

That's just it, though. The US is in an 'interesting' state of denial, where Trump is making delusional statements, but enough people are willing to accept the delusion. The media is doing a fine job of pointing out the inconsistencies, contradictions, lies, exaggerations, and falsehoods, but so far, the general public is unmoved. At least, not moved enough to bring down the Trump presidency.
I've noticed in the last week or two there's a growing discussion (against the so-called liberal left) about Trump's mental capacity. Most seem to agree that at best he is a narcissist, but it's depth of his NPD which troubles. I find the question about whether he is truly delusional or simply a master manipulator interesting. However, in either case, it doesn't bode that well.
Trudeau was such breath of fresh air on meeting Trump. Youthful, optimistic, and not taken in by any of Trumps handshake tricks. I don't know how much Trudeau can achieve on the face of an isolationist US president, but I thought as an initial meeting, that fact that he didn't fawn, and avoided criticising the US was the right tone.
