Well Done City. The best team always wins the league title.
The amount of english born players now present in the top English sides is becoming slightly depressing ( I think Hart is the only Englishman in the City side) no doubt we will see the knock on effects in Brazil.

Congrats to City, and commiserations to Liverpool. No complaints, the best team over the season wins and at least City have played with some flair.
If the Liverpool contingent can pick themselves up again and if Hodgson can bring himself to use them as a core to his team, then who knows what might happen
Then again, its going to be too hot to play that pressing tempo i suspect. Lets hope he doesnt depress them too much before they get back for another go next year. In a league with a refreshed Utd, A Chelsea side with a £100m striker or two and maybe even a competitive Arsenal if they buy wisely (or at all). I fear Liverpool will be lucky to make the Europa League next year.

Wither Albion?

Yes, I suspect it will. Or wilt, at least, in the heat and humidity
Interesting to note that, for all the comments on the lack of English talent in the premiership, the only two players in the 30-man extended squad not currently representing a Premiership side are Fraser Forster of Celtic and Jermain Defoe of Toronto FC.

Is anyone going to start an "England World Cup" thread? I'd do it myself as 3 of the team I support are in the squad.... but I'm a bit of a guest here these days as I'm not in Canada....

So who wants to buy Aston Villa?
Are they worth 200 million or 50 quid?
Lerner bought the team 8 years ago for 62 million and has since pumped just over 300 million into the club and thats his own money not borrowed like the Glazers
So what say you BE readers should we run the club and put a cheeky bid in?
Perhaps pommybird could be the eye candy doctor like Eva Carneiro of Chelsea.
Need some scouser to be the PR person so they can blame others if the team is doing shite

They'll be looking for a buyer for a while sadly.
Be nice to see a midlands team do well.

It is hard to think of another owner of a Premier League club who has spent so much of his own money and, in terms of performance on the pitch, ended up with so little to show for it. Under Lerner Villa's final Premier League position each year, starting with 2007, reads: 11th (£2.8m), sixth (£7.6m), sixth (£46.2m), sixth (£37.6m), ninth (£54m), 16th (£17.7m), 15th (£51.8m) and 15th.
But later in the article it says this

The figures in brackets are the losses that Reform Acquisitions Limited, Lerner's holding company which owns Villa and a number of related companies, recorded each year – £217.7m in total, with this season's accounts still to come. It is little wonder that Lerner, who waived repayment of £90m in loans in December, decided enough was enough.
