Take a listen to yourself. You're talking about a game of football - 'payback is a bitch' because your banner can now proclaim something someone else's banner can't? FFS, how old are you?

Commoli parts company with liverpool by "mutual consent", for "family reasons"
His family, or King Kennys I wonder? I was never fully convinced about him, and one wonders who was responsible to what degree for Liverpools less than stellar return on recruitment investment.
My cracked crystal ball sees KD heading upstairs to fill the now vacant, and perhaps largely meaningless "Director of Football" position in the summer, and a new manager taking over. Keeps living legend Dalglish within the club with dignity intact, as a sort of Bobby Charlton figure head / connection with the past, and conveniently shoulders the blame for any bad signings elsewhere, and everyone can move onwards and upwards. The fans keep King Kenny, and FSG get to rid themselves of his untouchable status and bring in a younger up and coming go getter that they always wanted but could never install before letting Kenny have a go. (I wonder who though?)
Still, one comment in the Guardian made me chuckle, "Stewart Downings first assist of the season"

I still think Kenny will get more time. Winning the League Cup means they have Uefa Cup qualification so it doesn't matter if they finish 5th or 15th.
If they go on and win the FA Cup how can they get rid of Dalglish with a cup double?
I think they'll give Dalglish another 10 League games next season and see where they are.

According to the Gruniad, his depatrture was closely linked to the failed transfers:

Maybe having given it a go, KD would rather like to depart on a winning point and keep some of his lustre... If things dont go much better than expected next season and they end up firing him mid season his legacy is tarnished and its hard to push him upstairs, he would have to leave under a cloud of disappointment, and I dont think anyone wants that.
FSGs stated preference way back when was for a young manager, a future star... Rafa would love the job, its like he's holding out for it and has unfinished business, but I dont think its going to happen, he had his shot.
on the other hand FSG may well want to hire a safe pair of hands with a proven record after this years league disappointment, time will tell.

"We've got great confidence in Kenny. We feel the team is going to make strides in the future and he enjoys our full support."
So, out by July then?
Maybe the irony of statements of support by football club boards is lost on the American owners...

How about Moyes or that little gnomey fellow Gary Megson? He looks like the perfect fit for Liverpool these days.
