They say if the football hits the balloon (or any object that shouldn't be on the pitch) then play should be stopped and the referee should restart the game with a drop ball. Apparently neither the linesman or referee were aware of this rule

I don't know about that.........I thought Villa had a great win made me smile anyway

And the referee has been removed from the Prem roster for not knowing the rules.

Such a shame for Liverpool.......I was gutted for them (hint of sarcasm applied).....

I have it on good authority that all Man Utd fans officially travelling to Anfield for this Sundays match will be in possession of a red beach ball that will be inflated inside the ground and that the pitch just before kick off may resemble Torremolinos Beach ........should be fun

Darren balloon boy Bent should have had at least three more so Liverpool have nothing to complain about. They got to realize they are just mid table fodder.

i know, i like the still images where you can see the anfield crest on the ball as the match ball goes into the net. classic, quite possibly may replace my screen saver, but its a tough call.
