Actually I think I might have posted that before - probably word for word.

And grumpy old cradle canadians go to complain about the youth of today and how the government is screwing up everything.

Having never before experienced Tim Hortons I ventured in the for a Cappuchino the other day. What I was served was a sickly caramel tasting liquid that tasted about 1/2 caramel 1/2 sugar.

As a diabetic I immediately threw this in the bin and I will not be going there again.

Its bloody awful stuff. I don't get it at all

I have to admit that most "fast-food" places serve awful stuff that mostly has the distinctly unpleasant aroma of excrement about it, Tim Horton's being the worst. It's like the special-needs of fast food restaurants.

What they need here is a good old-fashioned pie shop.

As a diabetic I would have thought you'd have checked for content before even considering ordering. ;)

What content ? Coffee and water would be the expected contents. Sadly not however in this case :-)

Perhaps this might help for future reference should you change your mind about darkening their doors. ;)

Don't you need milk for Cappuccino?

Very useful Steve.

Here is the page for a ham & swiss sandwich...

http://www.timhortons.com/nutrition/...bc=go&item84=1

There is no mention of sweetened motor oil, or of it's nutritional content.

Ah, they don't tell you the ingredients, that would just spoil the mystique.

I'd be surprised if it had any.

One doesn't want to harp on, but the nutritional content of the otherwise acceptable ham & swiss was rendered inaccessible by the application of this smear of yellow grease.

You are right - something must be done. Can you write to your MLA?

My cousin's holiday was ruined by the trauma she received when she bit into one of these ham and swiss sandwiches.

Can you imagine the scene? A retired primary school teacher from Northumberland innocently orders a simple sandwich for her lunch. She bites into it, and, well I was there and the expression on her face was fearsome.

The sandwich was dissected then the smeared piece of bread was discarded and the ham was wiped. There was tutting and exclamations such as "well", "they never mentioned mustard", "is that what this is?".

It was a difficult moment. Then she tried the redrose tea.....
