Tim Horton's mustard... wtf was that?

Normally I make myself a sandwich in the morning to take for lunchtime at work, but today (because the fridge was empty), I was forced to venture into a Tim Horton's.

I ordered, and was duly served, with a "ham & swiss" with mustard.

Mustard? The bread roll was smeared with a disgusting yellow fluid reminiscent of sweetened brake fluid, rendering the putrid concoction utterly inedible.

Now, I have been into a Horton's establishment before because the OH likes an Iced Capp sometimes if we're driving long distances on a hot day.

If Mr. Horton is reading this, goodbye, I'll never see you again.

They also offer a glutinous smear as "cream cheese". Whatever the point of Tim Horton's might be, feeding people well is not it.

Clearly. I can't express how awful this stuff was.

I can only speculate as to the point of Tim Horton's, apart from the obvious one of feeding crap to gullible stupid people.

Those prices? This hideous affront to a sandwich set me back $4.19.

I'll not be risking coffee and donuts in this lifetime, thanks.

Christ, you're not listening. I just wanted a sandwich, unpolluted by disgusting slime masquerading as mustard. I wasn't buying a ticket for the underground.

Where else would canadian pikeys and eager expats go for coffee?

Actually I think I might have posted that before - probably word for word.

I see.

Perhaps the putrescent slime was the product of rendering down "eager expats" (presumably mostly Chinese in this case) in the melting pot?

I've heard that Tim Horton's is anyway now a subsidiary of Wendy's, or some such american corporation.

It was owned by Wendys for several years, but they spun off their interest in the company to focus on their core business, and Tim Hortons corporate office will be coming back to Canada, maybe already has.
