Yip had a receipt - all I wanted was a replacement but they couldn't be arsed going to find it so they gave me my money back on a Canadian tire refund card - problem being it was a flyer item at half price so to go to the other store and get the replacement I would have had to add 70 bucks to the card to get the fryer I needed replaced

My local Couche Tard (convenience store) grinds mine. I can go in there mid-morning or early afternoon and I will have the pick of five staff to serve me. Go in there at about five, when people are dropping in on their way home from work, and there will be one staff member and a huge line-up. These cretins must know when their busy times are. Why don't they roster their staff accordingly?

"Buddy sitting in da truck, in the firelane/on the crosswalk/just outside the grocery store door, motor idling, pulling in his Timmies while da' missus goes inside to do the grocery shop." Buddy will refuse to make any kind of eye contact & will sit there for the full 30 mins that da wife is in the store. The nearest parking spot is mere feet away, but oh no, buddy is special.
A stereotypical ****wit that is very common in these parts. Grind my gears? Oh not so you'd notice...

People who start a thread with a link and don't provide any insight or opinion.
And, people who believe in a god.

What's it with all the adults doing paper rounds out here? There're a few doing it around this way and we used to see quite a few at it (some in cars!?) when we lived in Edmonton... Does it pay significantly more here than the three quid I used to get for dragging my arse out of bed at five thirty, six mornings a week back in the 80s?
My paper round used to grind my gears.
