In Durham the double t is silent. Pronounced sto'ee. A bit like a computer which is pronounced compu'a.

Waddya mean...pink shirts, flower ties, jingling joes (jeans with a bell on one leg)...I even had some pink trousers from Austin's Trouser House. What could be better?

Seriously...absolutely brilliant decade for movies.

Coolness rank of the last four 20th C decades:

1. 60s
2. 90s
3. 80s
4. 70s

50s is beyond my remit and 00s is too soon to judge.

What??????

It was a brilliant decade..

I wore hotpants with over the knee suede boots, velvet flares, loon bellbottoms, miniskirts, cheesecloth shirts, see through tops, danced my arse off, flew to South Africa for £210 return, met famous people (Bowie, Freddy M, Brian M), listened to the best music ever made... played the organ in 'forbidden fruit' in Portobella Road, met Suzi Creamcheese and Sid Rawle (King of the Hippies), got married, moved to Hong Kong... how can anyone think the 70's was naf?? (ooerrrrr sounds like I was a wild child, ooops!)

Edited to say, I just realised that meeting Sid Rawle (who introduced the girl he was with as 'Suzi Creamcheese') was in the late 60's and not the 70's. Ooops, well what can I say - it was a long time ago!
