Could I, could I maybe substitute the smaller version of spaghetti (spaghettini ?) for noodles, then suddenly felt myself projected on to the film set of Alien or similar; something odd ran up my spine and whispered don't even THINK about it. Yo, boss, gotcha. A shoppin' we will go. Manana. |

For the noodles we are about to receive we are truly thankfull. Ramen Edit: For dessert I cranked open the 2012 Wild Goose Pinot Gris I've been hoarding... it's good to be the king. |

i could go with Udon, but they might be a bit 'heavy'. Ah, got it now, thank you, moving through I remember Soba as being quite light and better suited to purpose! Should have some (like about three years worth :o) in stock... |

Enjoy it, best wishes to you, and to survive whatever bollocks is about to be thrown at us next. |
Re: Teatime Choices
Ploughmans for ourselves & our friends who are coming over.
Too hot to do much else other than salad . |
Re: Teatime Choices
Soba noodles, leek, carrot and mushroom as a base, with chicken breasts marinaded in a honey, mustard, vinegar and cane sugar bath, then hot'n'fast baked.
Sautéd veggies done in a spice mix of mild curry, garlic, chilli, piment, cumin, salt and pepper. Chicken cooled, shredded, added to veggies, with noodles on top. A small serving of soy sauce, left to get introduced to each other, then mixed well and left to fester for 10 mins or so, then thoroughly heated up. Not bad, the final eating needed additional soy sauce. Worth repeating/refining. |
Re: Teatime Choices
Beef in (dark) beer pie with a mash topping.
Not as good as when I've done it before but with a pastry top. Very nice gravy left though. |

Good Gravy! is even a common exclamation.

I recently saw some recipes for corned beef hash pasties that looked interesting, if just a bit odd.
