Now I see no brown faces, no children, no women. Therefore these protesters deserve our sympathy, I suggest we all send them a donation forthwith.

They were protesting to benefit the community and retain work for citizens, in a way. Not for support of a terrorist group.

I'm not saying peaceful protesters should be treated any differently no matter what the colour of skin or nationality though. The public perception, however, will be vastly different.
