Whilst growing parts of Turkey are not safe the majority of the country is and certainly the area near the Greek islands appears to be safe.

Yes it is surprising. The EU has been so chaotic in its response to this crisis. The only thing I can think of, beyond logistical challenges, is that there may be an issue with Turkey accepting non-domiciled individuals. But certainly for migrants from North Africa such a system seems feasible. Cyprus seems an ideal processing centre.

There's a travel warning on UK Gov.

But the real danger is from taxis. Well done on outdoing the previous crass comment.

Now Correct me if I'm wrong some of those Bombings were internal Turkish issues with it's Kurds(PKK).. who are fighting ISIS ??

Some. Which means some weren't.

Do bullets and bombs only kill and injure those directly involved?

We could all Google the atrocities around Europe, which to be fair would likely be far more than in Turkey if it were not for our security services identifying perps and arresting them before they were able to act, including suicide bombers, nutters with guns, knife whealding loonies included, however the numbers killed in Europe is also substantial, including Charlie H, the 100+ killed at the theatre and what about the odd inept gunman on a train, with nowhere to run, how many could have been killed that day.

Turkey is a relatively safe country considering it is bordering a war zone and that many holiday makers are still travelling there. They should be returned to turkey if found to be economic migrants chancing their arm.

I think many on here are conveniently using any excuse to score brownie points from their fellow BEers by just stating what is the PC SOLUTION, without thinking through the ramifications of millions altering the culture of a continent.

Many are surprised about the rising anger in Europe directed at politicians migrants and refugees.

Take a look at the picture of the 15 year old Somali "child" accused of murdering the 22 year old care worker. The Swedish mainstream politicians knew there was a problem with refugee applicants lying about their age to get priority but they refused to allow anyone to question the declared age of the asylum applicants. I'm not surprised the mother of the murdered girl is angry at the politicians. Isn't rising anger reasonable?

A problem indeed. These politically correct cover ups are not the way to handle a crisis like this. Free speech and information is essential.

Invite people to come to Germany. Once they here arrived and realise you have made a huge mistake tell them to leave. This will be fun with an angry German population and hundreds of thousands of angry "invited" refugees being forced to leave. This will end well!

Unless this is just a typical lying politician speech to placate her angry supporters (with local elections due in March) and she really has no intention of expelling hundreds of thousands.

"Merkel: Most people will have to return:

Hundreds of thousands of refugees must be prepared that you return to their home country- says the Chancellor. Only a small part was entitled to classical asylum, she said in Neubrandenburg on the country a meeting of the CDU in their home association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern."

Which home country? Many of the migrants have either lost or destroyed their papers. How will anyone determine where they're from? How can the age of a "child" be determined? This is an absolute mess and trying to send unwanted migrants back where they came from is simply a way of attempting to convince angry nationals that the huge problem of uncontrolled migration is being solved.

The bad news is they will go into detention centre's until they own up to where they came form or their original location is verified....

Could be worse some might find they're not wanted at home

then they become lost in the system and forgotten...

The age of a child can be reasonably easily determined using medical tests. X-ray of the shoulder area is a recent development from Denmark which
suggests that an analysis of an x-ray of the shoulder area yields the most accurate results regarding actual age.

Chop off an arm and count the rings.

It's okay, they have another arm. That seems in keeping with some of the comments. :(

Most small children will volunteer their ages, sometimes without being asked. They'll hold up their fingers to indicate how many years.
