Alana is the same one as the Eleanor I mentioned yesterday. The pronunciation was and is unclear to me. Today I thought Ford called her Helena, but these people all speak slack-jawed Canadian, so I can't be sure.

I just tweeted Rob and he says yes. It appears though that his preference is for Filmores.

Word on the street is that Rob isn't answering or posting anything on his social media sites ;)

Just, I say just, conceivably, I was making that up.

I sincerely, sincerely....sincerely...apologize.

I promise it won't happen ever again...on this thread.

There's nothing left in my closet to apologize for...well there may still be a coat hanger or something in there....I don't know.

I've made mistakes and I apologize, sincerely, sincerely, but I'm going to stick to my job for the good of the ordinary little people in, err, Etobicoke.

**** off. Oh, and I never said I'd eat her p*ssy. I've got enough to eat at home.

A direct quote from the title subject, in City Hall, live in a televised press scrum this morning.

I know...the video was in the link I posted above in an earlier post

His poor wife has to listen to him talking about eating someone else inside out, and then there are the kids......for crying out loud

Mayor Ford does have some failings but, dear God, the rest of the council are such wankers you can see why so many people support him:

"Councillor Karen Stintz announced the city had temporarily suspended all school trips to city hall because staff deemed them unsafe for the children."

Council do seem to have stiffened their sinews somewhat this morning, though. Just voted to remove some of Ford's powers (only Rob Ford and his brother voted against) which is about as much as they can do given the bizarre lack of an impeachment process of any kind. They're now debating a motion to curtail his executive decision-making powers in emergencies.

Oh, and the "possibly an escort" young woman has been identified, allegedly. She's a sometime model and pageant winner form Ajax, Alana Kindree. Apparently her father was quick to defend her honour, saying that of course she's not a sex worker and there may possibly have been a legitimate reason for her to have been in the mayor's office in the late evening hours.

Tempted as I am to click that, the top line in the screenshot makes me a tad nervous. And I've just eaten.

I'd question why his wife was at that press conference instead of heading for the hills. Could it be his bullying nature?

Yes. Yes, it could. She looked like the proverbial deer in the headlights in that daft media scrum when Ford decided to leave the press conference through the middle of the press pack. Poor bloody woman.
