I love Sultanas, especially the golden ones, in a nice beef curry.

You can substitute seedless grapes for something a little different, there are no real rules.

I'd think there was a danger of them dissolving or disintegrating.

I can certainly try it.

Banana sliced and added to the plate is nice too. But not for the hotter curries like Vindaloo or Red Thai.

This been mentioned yet?

No idea farmers fed cows such things as skittles, candy sprinkles, bakery cast off's, and such things as cherry juice, fish meal, peanut butter, fruit fillings, tapioca and left-over grain from distilleries.

Apparently as the cost of feed like corn has increased farmers have looked to cheaper alternatives.

Banana (on the side) acts as a coolent, coating your mouth and decreasing the heat. Milk works the same way - as does yoghurt (love raita) - water has the opposite effect!

Snowblower in garage. Garage door firmly welded shut with thick ice. Can't get car or snowblower! Going out with boiling water I am dreaming of Greek doors, lovely image, made me feel all warm.

Oh, such memories that brings back! Working with middle daughter, carrying buckets of hot water to the garage door not quite quickly enough to prevent the previous one from freezing in place before the next one arrived. That was the last time I closed a garage door in the winter and about the same time I gave up locking house doors.

We lost power from 9.30pm - 3.30am. That's equal to the longest outage we ever had in over 11 years, except for one that was 5 hours plus whatever time before 7.00 am it started...although that was a line to our house rather than a general outage.
Deck rails look all shiny with the coating.

The ice avalanches off the roof take you by surprise.

Try using a hairdryer.

It works. My missus was a bit narked though.
