Perhaps the newspaper is safe and a good option after all.
As we all know, you have to be in contact with germs in order to build up immunity. Neither of us have had illnesses due to germs that may or may not be on hand washed dishes. Can’t really think of it happening during childhood either. As far as I am concerned that’s all a bit of scaremongering. If you use very hot, clean water and dish soap then you will be OK.

The only safe way to live is not to get out of bed. Then you will probably die of issues associated with laying in bed 24/7.

Since there are only two of us in the house, we would have to wait to run the dishwasher at least 3 or 4 days to have enough dirty glasses, silverware and dishes to be washed. My daughter use to wash her pots in the dishwasher and I never felt they were really clean.

PS I don't buy the sanitize bull. Yes the water is super hot but my sink water is super hot and requires that it be mixed with cold water. Or I fill the sink with only hot water, scrap the dishes clear and let them soak for a while before washing and rinsing. Dishwasher use too much electricity, are noisy and I have found even a brand new one does clean the dishes as well as they can be cleaned by hand. To each their own. I don't have any phobias about germs. I would be more worried about the bugs that would invade the dishwasher if it is run only 1 every 4 or 5 days while dirty dishes sit in them.

There are only 2 of us in the house now but we fill the dishwasher every day... cups, glasses, breakfast dishes, coffee pots, lunch dishes, dinner prep dishes & pots & pans, plastic chopping boards, wine glasses... no bother at all. We do make virtually all our meals from scratch though, no microwave rice or suchlike!

BC Premier has some sort of growth in his throat, seems the initial concern was benign but doctors found another concern, apparently treatable, not stepping down as premier, but Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth has been appointed deputy premier as a precaution.

This made me giggle a bit.

1993 snow removal truck damages curb in Winnipeg, its reported damaged.

2021 city of Winnipeg repairs damaged curb.

Took 28 years from damaged to being repaired.

Could have been worse, the city in 2019 gave him a repair by date of June 26, 2037.

But still 28 years seems awfully long to fix a curb.

The smell though, more then 20-30 minutes in one, I get a headache, must be the tires but I dunno Canadian stores have the most consistent weird smell of any retail store I have been in.

That Canadian Tire looks way bigger than any I have been in as well.
Canadian Tire is often my first place to look for saucepans, frying pans, casseroles and food storage containers. Thy often have incredible sales on well-known makes, far cheaper than seen elsewhere, and unless you need the item RIGHT NOW (or are very lucky), it's quite possible to get the sale within 2 or 3 weeks!

It was also a good place to find camping equipment in the days when we did that a lot.

Some of them are huge ...... I think the one at Grandview & Boundary and the one at 7th & Cambie are the largest here. Ontario probably has the largest.

With four of us in the house we've been known to run the dishwasher twice a day....

I installed the dishwasher when we renovated the kitchen and ran it for a test. Since then it's sat unused, there in case of wanting to sell the house.

Time to duct tape the extension cords to the ground, tired of tripping over them.

If your a high tech worker Vancouver seems a good place to be, 3rd strongest job growth in North America between 2019-2020 adding almost 13,000 jobs.

21% growth in Vancouver ranking behind Toronto and Seattle but ahead of New York City, Austin, and Montreal, Quebec.

Could they have made this video more boring?

Training video or not, they could make it a little entertaining and training at the same time, this type of training video tunes people out.

Apparently Vancouver is averaging 4 random assaults per day, one near assault was captured by someone tonight, luckily the person ran faster than the zombie.

Squid Crypto currency, someone/s made a nice profit......trading at $0 after its creators cashed out, effectively stealing an estimated $2.1 million from investors.
The cryptocurrency, appropriately called SQUID, surged as high as $2,861 before falling to $0.

Apparently the scam is called a rug pull, the creators will cash out the coins for real money causing the crypto to become worthless.
