Probably also applies to those who drive trucks and cars with modified mufflers you know the ones who pass you on the road or take off at a red light.

Anyone remember Dom Jolly and his huge Nokia phone? I loved Trigger Happy TV, one of my favourite shows in the early 2000's.

It was awful ! It expresses exactly to the letter what my 19 year old son thinks of these things...and precisely why I don’t want his backside on one...and I am losing, the moment the weather stops being odious here he will be off...lucky for me, he’s a wuss and doesn’t like bad weather!

Home sales in Metro Vancouver down 40% in April, a 40 year low. Of course prices haven't moved much.

I think the house next to us is about to be demolished. It's been empty for 6 years or more with windows and doors bolted up and notices posted on the door. The only sign of life has been the occasional parking of a car around the back.

A fire truck and its crew have checked the place regularly.

Today a large tank tread backhoe was delivered and has been parked around the back.

Maybe front row seats on the deck tomorrow.

Yeah, it probably isn't a coincidence. Have you checked the real estate listings to see if it's for sale?

Periodically, yes.
I've also been expecting to see it up for auction on one of those tax sale things.

Well, I suppose anything is better than a boarded up firetrap. If they aren't going to build on it this year great spot for a neighbourhood garden. You never know when a city lot full of vegetables might come in handy.

Demolition started 8.10 am! All knocked down in 70 minutes.

3 hours later, still clearing up the debris.

I'm a fan of communal neighbourhood gardens . We have them here.
