I wonder if those electric badminton racquets for killing mosquitoes would bring them down? Those are quite affordable. ZOT!!!

I saw this all over twitter, it's totally brilliant and so typical of him to do something like that.

Couldn’t agree more...a very Banksy sort of move

Yes Bristol when they knock something down here they tend to put their all into it and do it quick...I hadn’t walked down a road about ten minutes away for a while, nice enough road but two very sketchy looking multi occupation dwellings at the end of it, I went there a week or so back, the two buildings had gone and a very nice looking apartment block is sitting in it’s place.

24 hours later and still on the clear up. I can see the digger bucket disappearing into what was the basement.

Life in Canada - fixer-uppers; demolishing houses, moving (literally) houses; having trees taken down; wasp nest removal/deterrent, deck repair, 'shifting' door frames from ground frost

That's a fair bit; we're forecast to have 60% chance of flurries Saturday and Sunday, but daytime temps of 6c should take care of it when it hits the ground.

What?! are you taking the piss? I'd prefer those murder hornets over 15cm of snow right now.

But it's bloody May Caretaker! I am wearing a fantastic party dress and I look utterly fantastic- believe me! I am now doing a very dramatic flounce!

Nah, we're innocent. Pretty sure we're escaping it.

A mix of snow and rain is expected to spread across New Brunswick on Saturday morning and continue through Saturday night. Current forecast guidance indicates that that the greatest snowfall accumulations will likely be over northwesternmost regions, with the heaviest snowfall rates on Saturday night.

I always find the locality forecasts to be far more accurate than those other warnings.
We're both in for a bit of rain and a cm or 2 of snow that will melt on contact...just as that blizzard did a few days ago.

Re: Is Lockdown Working For You

Some of the nicest aquariums come from Chinese manufacturers, some of the crappiest some from US manufacturers made in the USA.

Being made in China doesn't make something junk, something being made in US/UK/Canada/Italy etc doesn't make it good.

Innovative Marine aquariums for example are made in China, they are top quality aquarium, very clear glass, well made and rimless giving it nice visual appeal and about as perfect silicone seams as you can find and glass of appropriate thickness but the quality comes with a price.

Tetra brand aquariums made in the US, are made from cheap glass, cheap plastic rim, poorly done silicone seams, and frankly glass that is too thin, the very bare minimum really, but they are cheap price wise, but they are cheap for a reason.

Just an example, and I am sure there are many other sectors and products where the products made in China are on par of better quality vs similiar product made in western countries.

My favorite is the label, parts made in China in small print, then in bigger print and a US flag says assembled in USA, sneaky marketing.

In general many quality aquarium products come from China, they must really like aquariums there based on how many brands are simply re-branded to an English name and resold in North America with no changes to the product itself.

Polar vortex decided to make a spring visit to Ontario and region.

Apparently there are no weather systems in the northern US region big enough to push back the arctic air, so its coming down for a visit.

Out west we are doing nicely, low 20's during the day and some sun, I think we get a few days of this before rain returns.

Global warming I'm afraid. It's the destabilisation of the polar vortex. It'll be a while before it all gets mixed up and a new warmer northern climate stabilises.
