Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I have been mostly just staying in my pj's, when I take the dog out, I just put on jeans over them. I can say without anything to do, each day is harder to stay active.
Based on the notes the strata keeps sending out, if they had it their way, sounds like they would just make everyone stay inside their units, their notes highly encourage people to stay inside their units, and to limit leaving their units to once per week for essentials.

that’s what everyone is being told here. Stay home, go out once a week for groceries and meds if necessary...but stay home.

Are door-to-door Mormons considered as an Essential Service where you are?
Our doorbell rang a couple of hours ago (I was expecting a delivery) and saw through the glass door my 'usual' POSTNL (border controls, yay!) person who pointed at the package he'd just put on the step.
I gave him the thumbs-up, but I maybe opened the door too soon for his liking, as he shot off like the urban-mythical rat up a drainpipe.
Or he was possibly on a cross-border delivery bonus. The truth will out in a few months.

I find it best to get showered, get dressed and try to look like I would normally do. If I slouch around the house, I would feel like crap and it would get me down.

I shower and such still as per usual, but I don't feel any different based on what I am wearing, I am just cutting down on laundry by not wearing pj's + daytime clothes, so ends up being less laundry.
But I am not going to stores, or such, my outings involve taking the dog around the neighborhood and if we see someone a head we cross the street so we don't pass anyone, and most others out and about are doing the same pretty much, or we get in the car and drive around for 1/2 hour, everyone in the building seems to be following the don't get in the elevator with others rule, so that is good. I use a tooth pick to press the buttons on the elevator, so limiting what I touch directly.
With a dog really have no choice but to go outside, but I am not socializing with anyone or anywhere close to others, and health people say going outside is allowed, to enjoy the outdoors just maintain distance from others.

Sometimes living in an apartment/condo does feel like a cell of sorts.... Now maybe if it was a 1,500 sq foot condo, it would be different, 550-600 sq feet is really pretty small for 2 adults.

Health orders haven't gotten that strict here yet, the orders are more focused on maintaining social distance rather than telling people to stay home.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
if we must we can go outside too, but that is a little vague imo. No more than groups of 2, unless you live together. I wish they would say you can go for a walk only. Groups of joggers and cyclists can be seen. People throwing balls and frisbees, lifting weights etc. why is all that necessary...a quick walk is all that’s needed at times like these. The police are out moving people on this weekend.

I think testing is so far behind the possible spread it's impossible to tell how well things are going. A week ago I said we'll see in two weeks, and now I think we'll see in 3 weeks. We knew it was probably going to be a long haul thing.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
We are going on 2 weeks almost in BC without a testing back log, so these numbers coming out now should be from tests done pretty recently.
Governor in California was asked if he though the NFL games would start on schedule this fall, his answer was he doesn't anticipate games starting on schedule in California, which likely means they will be keeping theme parks and such closed and things there will be a lot longer than people think.

The only way my son has been able to get any groceries was by ordering through Instacart as he's self isolating having been in contact with someone who tested positive.... all the local stores that deliver were booked up for the foreseeable future. It's a bit more expensive though

Even instacart here has been difficult to get delivery slots, finally did get one today, although only ending up getting 30% or so of what was ordered as the store was out of everything else. The shopper even texted photos of the empty shelves, so the government keeps saying the supply chain is strong, but the store shelves are not building confidence in people.
Instacart was 3.99 base charge + tip but I only tipped the 5% the system defaulted to which was like $6 something, we would just go ourselves but I am showing symptoms and so neither of us can go out. I have an awful cough that is nothing like I have had before, which is leading to a sore throat, and I can feel heavy congestion feeling in my lungs, and slight shortness of breath if I try to do anything, but otherwise breathing is fine, no fever though so maybe its something else, but my body is achy like the flu but worse, but no fever, but maybe its too soon or maybe its something else entirely, who knows, but doctor said to stay home and don't go out so we are scrambling trying to find ways to obtain what we need which is has proven difficult, Amazon is pretty much out of everything still as well.
Hopefully its just a run of the mill cold or something, time will tell but wont be going out anytime soon.

Probably just have to swallow it, if one wants to keep going out to a minimum. I shall have another look at the 'membership' option and see if that works out better value.
