I hope you love it. Really love it. Come home with a big oversized hockey jersey to replace the framed Darren Anderton shirt... You can become the BE whooper-upper-in-chief for icing hockey.

Yes i thought it was a bit spendy. Seems very on trend in the Scandi fashion and I'm sure the seafood is amazing. Maybe one day... but your alternative looks a lot more affordable :)

This phrase, "on trend" is very on trend as it happens. We used to just say "trendy" but that is no longer on trend it seems.

Like the NF eco pad. Will put it on my "if I win Euromillions list." I don't see any problem in pitching it as a remote luxury getaway for those who want that sort of experience. Alternative more affordable inn looks inviting too.

A further alternative - a bit closer to St John's: The Inn by Mallard Cottage Much less spendy. St John's has a pretty good restaurant scene. Rather better than when I moved here 15 years ago!

Sometimes would be nice to have the hearing of a dog to figure out what they are hearing and why they keep running around chasing something I can't see or hear in the wall, something is keeping her determined. This building has had mice problems for a year now, haven't spotted one inside the apartment for several months and none of our traps have caught anything but I did seal all the holes up under the counters they were coming in from, but I wonder if she is hearing mice in the walls or something, I can't find any evidence of one being in the apartment as I searched high and low, but she clearly smells/hears something that has kept her up and going for 8 hours now.

one million roubles (£12,000)
One Rouble to £1 when I went in 1989, although the hotel waiters were offering 3 and on the street you could get as much as 10, if so inclined.

What a difference a picture makes. I read this story this morning in the UK press. No mention of $16K, no mention of 7 people, just a young couple with a baby. It sounded like the US had been a bit heavy handed, but not completely considering they had crossed a border. I can see now they got their just desserts.

I was browsing restaurant inspection reports for Vancouver Coastal Health, oh boy does Squamish have iffy restaurant.

https://inspections.vcha.ca/Inspecti...6-b623b91c50b4

"Food is unfit for human consumption."
"Potentially hazardous food is not cooked thoroughly and to appropriate internal temperature"
"Potentially hazardous food is not cooled using appropriate equipment and/or approved methods."
"Previously served food is served to another customer."

A closure order was issued.
