The more egregiously stupid part of this is that the character of the journalist who breaks open a lot of the Rob Ford story has been recast as a man. In real life it was Robyn Dolittle and she's rightfully pissed off about it.

Perhaps because the actress thought about for the part would want equal pay with Damian Lewis.

I know where I won't be moving to...$1.538 million for a 33' x 125' lot and oh yeah they'll throw in a house while you're at it.

600k can get you no lot, and 650as feet of living space plus 300 or 400 a month in strata fees.
My nephew turned 18 today. He was supposed to be born in June but was premature.

Nothing like going down to go to work and finding scooter not working.
Taxis to work it is.
Wish there could be one month where we dont have an issue and could pay actual bills.
If its not a cheap fix will need to leave job.
Taxis are not a viable solution.

Ever since 2005 something always got in the way of being able to buy the equipment to play my UK VHS tapes. There was always some other unexpected expense...expensive drugs, other medical equipment, wheelchair, stove packing up, rogue tenant, professional nuisance tenant, heat pump system needing replacement, rogue tenant (again)...
Last year I got an increase in my survivor's OAS and more than every cent has gone to two dentists.

Sucks for sure.
Just lucky it happend today as I got paid today.
If it had happened in between pay days a taxi would not have been an option.

I know the feeling.

Depends where you are. I've had stuff sent from London by Fedex to Toronto and Vancouver and it got there next day. No chance of that where I live now.
London/Indianapolis/Mirabel/Ottawa. Stuff always gets opened by Customs in Ottawa and doesn't make it onto the delivery truck before it goes out. Customs don't work at weekends or on public holidays. A package sent to me from London at lunchtime on the Wednesday before Easter got to me on the Tuesday. That doesn't quite beat the previous best of eight days.

UPS is 2 days, and quickest for Canada Post is 3 days.

I wouldn't mind this one (cue BareNakedLadies song) "if I had a million dollars"!

We can dream I suppose. One day if the lottery actually works properly and we win maybe the dream will become true.
Until then... get up, go to work, come back from work, eat, go to bed...and repeat!!
