Apologies for not being around. I suffered a major stroke on Sunday and am in hospital
Thankfully I am not disabled in any way, can still walk and talk (much to their surprise) and have passed all the cognitive tests.
I'm awaiting resr resuts to ascertain if i need vascular sugery but i'm really doimg bery well.

Well that was disappointing. I was just reading a round up of the 'best' of today's spoofs and they were as dull as ditch-water except for this one.
The European parliament has poked fun at Britain’s new blue post-Brexit passports.
It claims that “all EU passports to become dark blue†– the passport equivalent of turning up to a party and seeing someone in a matching outfit.

still in hospital. Apparentlly I have arterial thrombosis and am AT VERY high rrisk of anothr sttroke or a heart attack and have several blood clots in my shoulders. I AM ON MEDS AND WAITING TO SEE IF i HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY AS i HAVE 100% BLOCKED CARATOID ARTERY, 70% BLOCKED JUGULAR AND HAVE SOFT PLAQUE IN MY BRAIN ARTERIES. i'm still doing well though and am in good hands. With meds and luck I should live long and prosper!

I'm tempted to ask what we can do to help, but that's really annoying and puts the onus on you to make decisions when you should be resting. So, here's one specific question for you: do you have somebody looking after houseplants/pets/etc? If not, shout - and the western GTA/Hamilton contingent of BE will be on it!
It sounds like you may have gotten away with a warning on this one, and can be fixed up and monitored in an effort to prevent the next one. Take it easy, rest up, follow doctors' orders, and get well soon

It does sound very nice. I just don't understand how I never heard of it.
At school I remember Easter biscuits that were pretty horrible - all the currants were burnt.
Aside from Easter eggs I don't recall any other edible treat at Easter.

I remember the 70's (I was 5 1/2 when they began) and believe me you're not missing much. It was the decade that taste skipped over. When you think of bad fashion, bad music, bad tv, bad architecture, bad car design, bad crazes/fads, just think of the 70's.
