Really? Though what I saw didn't look decent at all. I probably shouldn't have given sandwiches as a comparison as it isn't something I would normally buy. Wine was definitely far more expensive $12 for a glass. Hence the lounge - it's worth the money.

A fair few pubs around Hamilton charge that for a glass (9oz).. one place I know charges $18!

Good grief. City prices. Maybe Pearson isn't such a rip off after all

Burger King is 8.90 or so for a whopper, fries and drink. About the same as downtown Vancouver.

Tim's was 1.50 for a muffin.

What kind of dance, ballroom? Twist? Go-go? Break?

So...Doctor Who.
A rare decent story for Doctor Capaldi. There weren't many and that was a terrible waste. New writer, new Doc and hopefully better to come.

And a Tom Baker tale

A neighbor from years ago always delighted in telling the story of walking through the Adelaide hills as a child during Christmas holidays (late 1970s) when he spotted a gentleman riding a horse. As the horse got closer he couldn't believe his eyes - it was The Doctor.

Without missing a beat, Tom Baker looked down and asked "You haven't seen the Tardis have you? I could have sworn I left it around here. Do let me know if you find it."

Usually ballroom nowadays. Probably the 'strictly' effect. I see myself doing a quickstep. Or a nice foxtrot. Definitely not a rumba. Used to be other things, even line-dancing after I saw Thelma and Louise, but it's mostly ballroom now.

I thought the Christmas episode was very disappointing. Rubbish even.

I quite liked it but the Christmas WWI trenches was mawkish as was the only nod to Christmas in the episode it was rather contrived.

But there was plenty to counteract that though. I thought there was much knockabout humour in it and it was good to see the earlier Tardis.

I'm pretty sure William Hartnell's Doctor never threatened to spank anyone. All that old fashioned talk before Jodie Whitaker takes over was well timed and a good way to make those against to maybe check themselves.

Always amusing when someone online complains about passive aggressive posting with a passive aggressive post...

About time, MacCartney has had one for a few years.
