That's the place...SW corner of Bay/Edward. I haven't been past the building in the last 23 + years but the building looks the same. It could be worse aka St Louis bus terminal.

I've been there twice to catch the Niagara Falls bus. It's where you wait panicking wondering if there are too many for the departure and you're stuck waiting for the next one hoping you won't get into a fight with people not queuing properly and waiting for the one after that, worrying you may get into a fight with someone not queuing properly, causing you to miss that one and having to.....

Why I love politicians..
MP Richard Benyon banned for texting while driving - BBC News
No doubt he'll be claiming for a chauffeur next...

I think Rob Ford was caught either reading (that seems like a bit of a stretch) while driving or texting while driving or just standard talking on a phone w/o bluetooth by a resident and the resident was given the finger.

I successfully boarded the bus to NYC. The trip involved a stop with a wait for a couple of hours at the Buffalo bus station in the middle of the night. I didn't like that. On other occasion I boarded the bus to Ottawa, that entailed a stop and much hanging about in GodKnowsWhereOntario, a featureless snowy place. I like that even less than Buffalo. In both cases there were people on the bus actively engaged in the consumption of illegal substances and other people engaged in acts one would hesitate to ask of a professional (at least, on a bus). On the bright side, on neither journey was I decapitated.

I hope you're able to elbow your way on to the bus and that you enjoy your trip.

I would love to have a day of quiet. Everyday drilling noises, hammering etc.

Thought once the restaurant downstairs was done it would all stop, but now there is more work somewhere in the building, oh will it ever stop?

On both occasions there was actually no problem at all and I believe they just added a bus for the overflow. It would just be nice to know for sure that's what they do. Or allow you to book a particular time which I don't think was available when I travelled.

I've caught the bus from Montreal to Ottawa and back and one ways from Montreal to Toronto (via Ottawa). Ottawa and Montreal seemed much more passenger friendly. Sorry.:(

Maybe Toronto has improved since 2007.

That area is famed in film and song, so no wonder. Washboard Hank's ditty Marmora Pig and the classic NFB film Best Damned Fiddler From Calabogie to Kaladar guarantee it's place in history.

Wasn't aware of those links. I think it is Calabogie. The area between Calabogie to Kaladar is pretty sparsely populated.

The Log Cabin restaurant is a place where the Toronto to Ottawa bus stops for a break and I think the Peterborough to Ottawa bus stops there as well..so transfers are possible there.

For years and years the sign inside the 'restaurant' has had warning signs not to drink the water in the washroom as it isn't potable....conveniently bottled water is for sale. :p:p
