I think it is possible that Canadian bake-off has confused 'high tea' with afternoon tea.

Bare you ranting about it too? It's rubbish isn't it? Nothing is dainty enough, great clodhopping portions of greasy food.

And who makes brandy snaps with corn syrup? They should have given them some golden syrup

Judging by your BE name you will be well qualified to explain the difference?

I remember camping in the 70s and taking some soups recommended for camping. Foul stuff. Pot Noodles were far better.
But there are many equivalents here in the supermarkets. Can something so basic be so different?

I buy those three at a time. But it annoys me when I see various brands like ASDA which appear to be the same thing and are a fraction of the price.

I've yet to persuade anyone to go to the trouble of posting me a pack as they seem to come in pouches that wouldn't be expensive to send rather than cartons which are.

what, Stone's and a blended Scotch? Why yes, yes indeed. That's been the go-to tincture in my hip flask for many years, and has a long tradition as a warming drink on a cold day (science notwithstanding).
