Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Our coverage via the province comes from different programs, and we do have more covered due to persons with disability status so there is also some extended health benefits that kick in for things like dental and vision that are not normally covered as well as MSP premiums being waived in full.
My company doesn't cover MSP premiums as a benefit though. It's mostly a money thing, the $50 or so they take each cheque adds up and may affect take home pay.

I can see that for you it may not be an improvement but a couple of things occur. While most things may not be as good, those that are better you may be grateful for another day.
It's like paying car insurance. You're worse off paying it than not paying it...unless you need to make a claim one day. Is the Provincial coverage for people with no other coverage? The NB/Blue Cross one is and so are a couple of others I've read about. If you did qualify for coverage through employment, might that exclude Provincial coverage? What happens if there's a big change in BC economy or a new governing party that makes a cutback to pay for something else? The employee coverage may look better then. |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I am down 30 pounds since Feb 27th. I am not trying to really, and I think it's just from being more active at work, snacking less from boredom, and less sugary sodas.
I thought it would plateau at some point, but I seem to be losing about 1.8 pounds a week on average. Hopefully it slow down, at 199 today, according to charts for height and weight the range is anywhere from 150 to 200 pounds depending on which formula is used, I still have a small belly and don't look sick or skinny, so I suppose I can lose a few more pounds. I think its been about 10 years since I was under 200 lbs. Warning for anyone who use re-lodable mastercard's/visa etc. It can be a pain if the card is compromised and you have fraud charges, way more difficult to deal with and get your funds back. We have one card that we use to buy online on amazon and pay a few bills that need a credit card like cell phone and house insurance. We loaded it like usual, and then over the weekend got emails saying the payments were not successful for the bills. Seems someone somehow got a hold of the number, and it was used all over the place. Online at an Anime store located in Hong Kong, Hollister in New Albany, some random dating site, and a Starbucks in Vancouver. We have the actual card in our possession and it's only used online. It's been a real pain thus far trying to deal with the company who issues the card. |

So much for 8 hours sleep tonight. Lol |
