Most excellent news! After my family member had the quadruple bypass they were encouraged to walk several times a day, starting at 5 minutes and eventually going for an hour. Best thing for you!

Are you having the cardio-rehab at the Y?

No, they have a rehab class at the Whitby sports centre, it has a full size running track, I could do rehab closer to home but the track is small, they recommended the bigger place.

I'm going to look through in a minute with a post-supper coffee.

Many moons ago the Guardian used to run a section for sexist ads (called Naked Ape) where people sent in clippings of examples.

A couple I sent in were published and featured in the books they later published of them. Contributors named in the paper but not the books sadly...but I kept my clipping with the book as proof I submitted it.

Canadian bartenders are insufferable. I"m sorry you majored in communications or basic studies and now this is the only job you can get. Accept it, and stop telling me your great auntie is from Guilford. I don't care, I just want to watch the baseball.

Rash generalisation.

Yeah, sorry about that.
I meant most of the ones who work in Vancouver and are seemly oblivious to the Mets playing a one off wildcard game and are trying to talk to me.

Plus I might of been a little harsh as he took a couple of beers off the bill and stood a couple of cheeky tequila shots.

I recall some years ago watching in interview with Jonathan Miller, the well known English polyglot. He's a very tall, gangly man, talented and fascinating creature. He was asked if he was a jogger. He replied saying NO, he believed there was only so many breaths allowed to us in life and he didn't intend using his up any sooner than necessary. He is now 82.

So. California's week long earthquake advisory ended on Tuesday.

They had a swarm of quakes concentrated at the southern end of the San Andreas fault line. 140 small quakes over 2 days, a bunch of small quakes near a major fault line makes scientists nervous.

That story has been amended. It was a dog.
