Managed to take that picture by leaning over the fence... As for black bears - they are very common, but you hardly see them. They are more afraid of you, then you are of them. |

1. Dallas Rd 2 & 3. The Malahat Wonderful group of folks there. If you are coming down to dallas road to walk the dog, you should come to gonzales beach. Its a smaller beach when the dogs can run free from september to june. Its really a beautiful little beach with lots of nice folks. Bring a book and lunch and let the dog run free and enjoy the sunshine.....! I loved your pics by the way. |

went to the island last weekend. Was very impressed with Sidney by the sea. and also downtown Victoria. Loved Chinatown!
Victoria was actualy quite smaller than i expected. we had NO trouble finding our way around. people were very friendly and the food was great. Lots of sunshine the first day then lovely light drizzle the next. I enjoyed that. |

Thanx for those pics bananahammock.......bring back some nice memories of our six week BC stint in 2005. We were in Campbell River for 4 days with OH's brother and spent an hour at Elk Falls.....here are mine!! I must admit, it is scary $hit when you read that sign about clearing the area quickly when the sirens go off when they open up the dam (or something like that!!)
The last pic was looking over to Quadra Island from Campbell River Stopped for some fish & chips nearby & this seal was entertaining people (bit blurred) |
