Photos please...
Hi,
Just been on the NZ forum they have a "great NZ picture thread", I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would mind sharing some photos of Canada with us. It would really help people like me (who haven't even been there yet) get an idea of what life in Canada is like. Anyone got any pictures?... |

Re: Photos please...
The problem with using pictures to see "what life in Canada is like" is that few people include pictures of commuter trains, office desks and supermarkets in their albums. Our blog is mostly pictures but it's more Yuppies emulating The Good Life than it is typical life in Canada.

Just a few taken the last couple of weeks. Lake Huron was frozen to about a mile out enabling us to walk out quite a way.
The squirrel is a regular visitor to the window right here at the computer. You've started something here, you know! |

Also, lucky that you are still with us rather than trapped in the back of your van body. Without the cellphone how long would it have taken for your absence to be noted?:D

Whilst I'd agree with dbd that what we really need are pictures of homes, commutes, offices, shops, that dodgy subdivision/street/suburb we don't really like to stop in, potholes, etc etc, I don't have any of those to hand. So here are some random pictures of Newfoundland for your delight.

Agreed. It's tricky though. I got caught taking photos in a grocery store... the Safeway goons thought I was a 'price checker' from Walmart. :D "Do I look like someone with a job?!" I was insulted on so many levels.

This is last winter in St John's NL - the shovelling guy is my DH, the small guy my son and the teddy belongs to my son's teacher - we needed to do a school report on our visit. The 18 wheeler driver came back and saw us so kindly agreed for Bear to have a photo op with him.
