well I intend on having a bloody great party when i hit 40 ........ not necessarily because of the 40 years but because it coincides with the 20 years i've been here .......... and I intend to invite all the poeple that helped me get where I am today ............ including the nice family that hired me as an au-pair and then turned into bastards .............. they probably won't come but I want to show them just how far and how well I have done and that life does not revolve around them.

Anybody want a summer break in Italy 2010 - come along !

it's been what I made of it and yeah ..... not all bad ,,,,,,,,,,, bloody hard in the beginning when only foreign girl in teeny weeny village was me and all good faithful catholics (pause for vomit here) thought that only way a young girl could live alone was beacsuee she was a prostitute and had no loving family to support her. !!!

Luckily got very tough character and almost actress qualities ...... soon learned to be myself in private or with friends and act it all up a bit for neighbours - shop keepers - landlords - etc . Buon giorno ..... BUON GIORNO ... kiss kiss

Have not had to do that for years as gradually people got to REALLY know me -lost a few so called friends but still got many after all this time and no longer act for anybody or anything ........... my Italian is so good now i can fight - argue and compliment with the best of them ..... and sometimes i have needed to.

I've been around when you've been posting - but maybe not conversed.

Tough luck on the jobs front, I know how you feel on that one; for me it was the prompt to do something serious about emigrating though, rather than being left high and dry in a new country!
